Act of Witness

I went along to the War Memorial in Kendal today to join an Act of Witness against Russian Aggression, where a group of people huddled under cover to hear speeches by our MP, the leader of the Council and the mayor.  There were not so many people but I felt there were representatives of all ages and backgrounds, linked by a common humanity.  The final singing of the Ukrainian national anthem, accompanied by an accordion, was very moving.
