Holy Church and Arena

The Tampere Orthodox Church, i.e. the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky and St. Nicholas, is the main church of the Tampere Orthodox congregation built between 1896 and 1899 and designed by engineer colonel T. U. Jazukov. It is located in the heart of Tampere on the eastern side of Sori square. The church is nationally significant, and it is protected on architectural, cultural-historical and scenic grounds.
behind it is the sports and event hall Nokia Arena, where ice hockey is played and concerts and other events are organized.
