A lovely Sunday

As I’ve said before, I love going to the Cathedral for the main service on a Sunday. I’m neither Catholic nor a Portuguese speaker, but the atmosphere and the music are wonderful.

The charismatic priest spoke about the Pope, and the need to pray for peace (even my Portuguese was sufficient to absorb this).

I love being in a place of worship that is packed full and welcoming. (Extra but taken long before the service started. Lots more worshippers yet to arrive.)

My blip is of the statue just beside the main door.

I went on the number 2 bus with a friend to the Doca do Cavacas (often blipped) and the fish was amazing as usual.

We climbed back to the top of the steps to see police and the commotion of a car which had smashed through the fence and ended up facing down towards the rocks.  A bit faster and it would have been in the sea ! (Extra 2)
