Morning Walk "! $@"£+=£* WET"

There is an amatuer weather forecaster followed by many on social media. He is famous for not mincing his words when appropriate. Many will frown at his colourful language but my goodness he was bang on today and I think his tone for his prediction was totally appropriate.

We left the house for this walk with the power off and we could see engineers' vans parked along the road and guys out looking at overhead cables.
The burns and ditches were raging at the Badenoch Wall walk and culverts unable to accommodate the volume, had water spilling over the running surface. If this was sustained for long, even this well formed road would start to disintegrate. In this image part of a log stockpile was being washed away.
We were soaked by the time we had completed and once home, heartened that the power was on again. It went off again five minutes later for perhaps another hour.
