The square

Usually, I only go into town on a Tuesday and the main square is bustling with market stalls. We had a parish meal at a friend’s house in the town and the square looked expansive and completely different, especially with the plane trees. These provide great shade in the summer. We had a lovely meal, Lancashire hotpot and moussaka followed by lemon cheesecake, apple pie and trifle as well as cheese, coffee and chocolates. We were ack in time to watch the rugby.
