Under the weather

Unfortunately the wee man woke several times last night. At first we thought he’d developed a new method of garnering our attention; a fake cough, but after taking his temperature this morning and seeing how sleepy, inactive and hot he’s been, we can confirm that our poor boy has come down with a fever.

Nikki spent most of the day appeasing the wee fella with cuddles, naps and short bursts of play. However, try as they might, he just wasn't his usual bubbly self.

When I came home tonight, I jumped in the shower with him to help keep him cool. It worked for a moment but silly Dad incurred the wee man's high pitch screams empathy when he pretended to hurt himself.

I can't quite believe it. Even in his most tired and distressed, he can't bear to see his father in pain. What a dude.
