Anemone Blanda
A day with no plans. TT headed off to a church event, and as it was sunny, windy, and still quite mild, I decided to hang my washing out. Three loads were hung out, and dried, I take that as a great achievement, as I gave hardly had the opportunity to dry my washing outdoors this year so far.
Late morning I popped down town, taking a detour by the river and St Mary’s Pleasance, to pick up a few bits and pieces. I bumped into a friend who reminded me that the Farmers Market was on. Once I had picked up my provisions, I wandered to the market, but didn’t buy anything. I headed home, made some lunch, and finished my book.
TT appeared home, earlier than I expected, and looking for lunch! He then spent the afternoon marking, and he sent me out to buy some chicken for tea. I took a scenic route to the supermarket, but was mostly walking into the wind, which was hard work.
I got home just in time to watch the rugby. It was stressful, and was so close. I made a banana cake at half time(I had organised everything earlier). TT wasn’t coping well, but was happy when the game ended. I was happy too, as he was able to cook tea. We ate quite late!
We watched a bit if TV later, and I tried to decide what to read next.
These anemone blanda in St Mary’s Pleasance were enjoying the sunshine today.
