Coffee
I am back in my pre-pandemic habit of stopping to pick up a coffee on the way into the office. I use the coffee and walk around the Westfield shopping centre complex to get to the office as my reason for getting off a train at Shepherd's Bush rather than taking the Tube to White City, which is nearer where I need to be. The walk does me good; spending the money on coffee does not.
When I worked in a central London office, I would occasionally find myself buying another coffee shop drink on the way home. Back then, my excuse was the thirty-minute walk to Waterloo. I have no such excuse these days, as the Nero I use is across the road from the entrance to the station. I don't need the drink, but this is the second day in a row that I have stopped for it. I don't think I want this habit.
I'm home to reheat the aubergine dish I made on Monday and watch another episode of Prime Target. It's absurd yet entertaining.
