Bon voyage

Off to New Zealand for 3 weeks. It's been a long time in the planning and the cause of some stress so let's hope it lives up to expectations.

On a more serious note, Paul passed away on Friday. It was expected but that doesn't make it any easier and I feel so sorry for his family and all they have to deal with in the coming days, weeks, months and years. We visited on Thursday and I was dreading saying goodbye given the finality of it but he made it easier by simply saying 'thank you for your friendship' as we got up to leave. It served the purpose so much better. I'll steal that shamelessly but hope to never need it .....
