SATURDAY

Yesterday evening, I received an email from John Lewis confirming that the new cooker hood and hob would be arriving between 13:43 and 15:43 today. Perfect, I thought! I had the day planned around that window.

At 8:10 am, as I was gearing up to head to the Greenfield Valley Parkrun a text arrives from the delivery team. They’re  arriving in 40 minutes!

I completed the Parkrun in a sedate 28:46, with a brief stop to deal with an annoying shoelace. 

I spent the warm and sunny afternoon emptying out a couple more kitchen cupboards, doing a bit of gardening, and a walk around the village. 

A few daffodils around the village have been in bloom for a few weeks but our garden's first daffodil left it until this weekend to make its debut. Hopefully, we should have a decent show of them by St David’s Day on Friday.
