1777: Archibald Bulloch dies under mysterious circumstances

As D.E.I.J. programmes are being decimated in the U.S. at this very moment, Bulloch's words seem highly relevant. Now is the time for other countries to push even harder for D.E.I.J. initiatives. That is what we were doing today in the first J.C.I.S. workshop on promoting D.E.I.J. initiatives in international schools across Japan. 

As well as enjoying the workshops, it was great to meet two former St. Michael's teachers at the conference. Becky, a former Year Two teacher, presented one of the eight workshops, and David, a former Year Five teacher, who is now the Vice Principal of the stunning British School in Tokyo that hosted the conference. The extra is the view from a balcony garden in the school. Not bad, eh? It's a world away from our little school, but I wouldn't trade.
