Snowdrops in Dalkeith Park. Some of the facts on the Snowdrop trail signs state that there are 20 wild species of snowdrops and over 2500 cultivated ones. Although the bulbs are poisonous, snowdrops contain a substance used to help treat Alzheimer’s disease and snowdrops represent hope and purity.
It has been a day of sad news as today we learnt of a family member who is in hospital, another having tests this morning to see if cancer has spread and another facing yet another operation in a few days time. A close friend who has been very ill faces a very complicated future and the funeral took place today of a tragic death of a school friend of our grandchildren. We have to live in hope for all those affected.
