A frog he would a-wooing go

Following  yesterday's excitement of discovering, but not capturing, a hamster on the run, I arose this morning just before 7am, and checked the traps. Success!  (See extra.) Speedy was  speedily returned to her astonished, but delighted,  young owners, to join her sister, Nibbles. However, Nibbles had grown used to having the cage to herself and wasn't exactly welcoming,  so a second cage has had to be quickly purchased.
My main blip is of a more loving  couple, who I discovered this afternoon, near our garden pond. Usually frogspawn is laid here, in balmy Hampshire, by mid February, but this year, with the recent spell of  cold dry weather it  seems to have been delayed until now, following yesterday's heavy rain and milder conditions. I'm always pleased to see the frogs appear again. Spring is on its way!
