National Trust Tea Room!!

Is there anything nicer than on a rainy Monday afternoon than to visit a National Trust tea room and partake of cake!! In this case it was East Riddlesden Hall and the cake in question was coffee and walnut. What joy!!

This is the first time I have been here but my friend Barbara and I had spent the morning walking round Salt's Mill and having lunch at Vicars in Saltaire so by the time we got here we only felt like a sit down. Still good excuse for another visit and more cake.

The tea room is delightful and just what you expect of the National Trust. Quality and consistency that doesn't disappoint. Well done Octavia Hill and chums for coming up with the idea for the National Trust in the first place. Though I am not sure she would necessarily recognise what it has evolved into from the original concept.
