Seriously?

Gareth and I revisited Hullbridge today, and his friend Jo, who has lived in the area all her life, drove us on a grand tour of the area - Hullbridge, Hawkwell, Hockley, South Fambridge, and Ashingdon.  This excursion was driven by our idle interest, as mentioned here, of moving to this area. I would love to live near the water when in the UK and there are three different woods in the Hockley/Hawkwell/Hullbridge area where Rufus and I could have some splendid walks. There are other advantages too. Local pubs in walking distance and yet the journey from Hockley railway station is only about 45 minutes to London Liverpool St.  This afternoon's tour and conversation was enough to seriously whet my appetite - but it might just be a phase I'm going through.   Time will tell.

On the way home we stopped for very late lunch/early dinner at The Wellington Arms in Hatfield Several for fish and chips and a pint and now I"m home feeling uncomfortably full and somewhat confused.
