Art Journal - February
I wanted these pages finished for St Valentine’s Day but with one thing and another it’s taken me till now to get it done. However, that’s OK, it’s still
February - the month of Lurve!
I was wide awake at 4.30 this morning and came downstairs for a cuppa tea. I listened to a podcast and fell asleep on the sofa till Frank came down and made coffee.
Then we had to go and do the big shop. Well, I went on the 9 am bus and Frank came joined me later in the car as he had to take Bella walkies.
I can’t believe how the prices go up so much from one week to the next! I just don’t know how families on low incomes manage to feed themselves.
After lunch I played ukulele for a bit then did some art in my journal. I haven’t been managing to do it every day due to the courses I was doing. Hopefully I’ll have more time now.
The photo is my Mum and Dad when they were just married.
The dance ticket is when Frank and I were first together. It was a Ceilidh and he was in the band playing mandolin and calling the dances.
I used to love a Ceilidh and danced till I dropped!
Thanks for all caring and supportive comments yesterday, I’m feeling less stressed now and just hoping my letter has done some good.
I’ve started reading the book that Melanie gave me for Christmas.
It’s the second one I’ve read by Janet Skeslien Charles - called
The Librarians of Rue de Picardie and set in the First World War.
The first book was called The Paris Library.
Goodnight lovely Blippers :-) X
