Patterns
Opera at IKEA.
#1 daughter picked me up this morning at 11am to take me to IKEA to get my Birthday present, one of their chairs and which has 15% off this week. Was very dubious I would be able to stand the pace – me still suffering from the lingering effects of this horrid lurgy and half term IKEA Birmingham. Golly, it was sooo busy but IKEA is a strange place as people seem to be in their happy place and most people wear smiles all the way round. I wasn’t quite in that category but did find my chair, annoyingly they didn’t have the choice of cushion for it in stock, but I ordered it there and it will be here on Sunday. 2pm and time for lunch and a much needed sit down, meatballs, jam, sauce, chips and peas and a drink restored me somewhat but refuelled my daughter, so off we went for round 2, we left at 5pm. Home at 6pm and I’m suitably shattered but glad I made the effort and thank you L for a good day out.
My blip is of a young man with an amazing voice who, just inside the entrance of IKEA, regaled us with his fabulous rendition of ‘Nessun dorma’. Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting our AbstractThursday. I like the Patterns made by the coat hangers.
Needless to say I had a very early night. Mr HB is still barking.
