Winter colours

Walked past this lovely combination of leaves and stems next to the library today. Very colourful.

Watching the fall out from yesterday’s announcement to the academic library community that one of the major suppliers of print books and ebooks is pulling out of the market this summer. It is going to have such a massive impact as we’ll all be scrabbling around to find new suppliers before the next academic year starts. There are only really two other suppliers to choose from and they’re going to be snowed under with the increased demand. It’s going to be a tough year. And that’s not to mention all the people who’ll be losing their jobs because of this decision - I really feel for them.
