Spider in the Garage

I was about to set off to the tip with a large garden bag of weeds when I caught sight of this minuscule spider. Not being an arachnid guy, I had to look it up. Probably (possibly — just might be — let's try anyhow) one of a huge variety of Comb-Footed Spider. Is the large woolly blob an egg, a cache of eggs, a nest — or what?

I hope the move to the tip didn't disturb it too much! I was careful.
