No Longer The Tallest Tree

If it is Thursday it is usually Edinburgh.

I delivered Pat to The Scottish Arts Club. She was taking part in a Life Drawing Class. I drove to the Royal Botanical Gardens to observe and record the damage to the trees which had been inflicted by the recent storms.

Today’s entry shows what I understand was the Tallest Tree in the RBGE. It cannot claim that title any more.

I did walk around the whole extent of the gardens and record a number of trees which had fallen over.

Sad sights indeed. From my cursory examination most of The Fallen had shallow roots.

Also damaged was the protective housing to the original greenhouses which are currently being restored. I suspect that little damage has occurred to the structures.

Rendezvousing with Pat we had lunch at IKEA. Pat bought some artificial indoor plants to replace some real plants which were no longer living.

The plan had been to then shop at Costco. However, that has been postponed till next week when yours truly will shop at Costco.

The weather was miserable and to add to the misery I ran out of screenwash liquid. I refilled the empty bottle as I soon as I returned with the appropriate fluids of water, detergent and antifreeze.
