Where it happens (or doesn't)

The first draft of everything I write, poems and essays and fiction, is done in my journal.

At the top of every journal file is this saying
(probably cadged from Julia Cameron),
which I have found to be true:

"The smallest act of creativity can release
a fountain of spiritual blessing and healing."
