Excess Energy
We visited Auntie Mary today, something Euan always enjoys. It was a long journey both ways and with a stop off at the supermarket in Otley on our return journey for supplies. We were fortunate to be just getting back in the car when Tony pointed out the very dark cloud looming. As we drove back over Ilkley Moor there was a torrential downpour with rivers running down the road and conditions making driving difficult, especially as some idiots don't slow down despite the weather. Thankfully it cleared as we dropped down into the Aire Valley and by the time we reached home the sun was shining, something we haven't seen in a few days!
After a late lunch, Tony suggested we get some fresh air so we packed the duck food and walked up to the estate. We visited the Sitting Tree and Euan wanted to climb up, hence the blip, then there was log walking and bog navigating and puddle splashing to be done before the ducks and swans were fed. Then there was stream walking and pond surfing and eventually tig on the football pitch and Grandmother's Steps on the cricket field before home for fish and chips. Excess Energy used up and one little boy fast asleep
