Harbinger of Spring
We spotted our first American robins last weekend during a snowstorm. They huddled around the heated birdbath for sips of fresh water. Since then I’ve only seen one stop by and he never stays for long. Although not all robins migrate during the winter they are considered harbingers of spring when spotted this time of year • It’s a challenging time with the ground covered in snow so flocks will travel to find berries and fruit. During warmer months they focus on worms and insects for nourishment • Peace & Love
