Berry Nice

These berries always catch my eye when I walk into town. There were especially welcome today on an extremely dreich day.

My first port of call was the Station Book Shop to buy a second hand old Gaelic text book which has been put aside for me. I now have quite a collection and there is something rather lovely about them, an insight into times gone by. They are less useful for actual learning due to changes in spelling  orthography. Whilst there I had a lovely chat with the volunteer on duty in which we put the world to rights (if only). I then popped into another shop to look at something which caught my eye and had another lovely chat with the people there. My final destination was the library where I picked up my next  again book group book  (The Instrumentalist by Harriet Constable). The parent and toddler group were meeting there including fellow a fellow Dell Dipper (S) and her  daughter (E) - always lovely to see them both.

Back home I chatted to T's brother before he left - he was heading up to Ullapool for the night and from there with heading to Stornoway or Loch Inver  - definitely making good use of his bus. I must try it sometime.

It's been a quiet week this and whilst it was in response to a cold (now largely cleared), I have actually rather enjoyed it. I think I will try and carve out quiet days in advance of and/or busy spells.  I definitely feel recharged - which is good as a the next few days will be quite the opposite.  Lots of fun beckons !
