Trixie's Adventures

Penrose Estate, Porthleven & Loe Bar

This morning it was raining when I went to the beach for my play so we both got absolutely soaked. However, our weather app told us that the rain was going to stop by 11am and for once it was correct. Yay!

Once we'd dried out and had breakfast and caught up on a few soaps, Ann decided she was going to email EDF (see previous RANT here) and document all our calls/messages etc that she has made/sent since the 18th November when they fitted a new electric meter in our flat in Edinburgh which doesn't work. Here's hoping her email brings us some results?!!! She says it's very frustrating, exhausting and time consuming dealing with utility companies.

…...........And then, when she'd finished writing her very lengthy email to EDF, she discovered that she had an email from 'TalkTalk' (who she never wanted to be with in the first place, but they took over Shell Energy) saying that her contract was coming to an end, so they were going to renew it for 24 months at £10pm more than what she is paying at the moment??!!! Errrrrrr.............. NO! She'll be looking around for someone else to provide her wifi service, but why is everything so difficult? Why is there no loyalty for staying with a company these days? Ann bought her first flat in 1984 and she says that there was never a problem with utility companies back then. Everything just seems to be such a struggle these day. Or maybe it's because Ann is old now and worries about things more.

…...............Moving swiftly on............ Once the rain had stopped, we popped over to the Penrose Estate to do another 'I Walk Cornwall' walk. We walked more than 6 miles around the Penrose Estate, Porthleven & Loe Bar. Ann chose this walk because she knew that we'd be walking on 'proper paths' rather than muddy fields. Mmmmmmmm................. best laid plans and all that. Ann managed to stay reasonably clean, but I didn't. My tummy and legs got ever so muddy, but I wasn't doing anything naughty. I'm just nearer the ground than Ann.

Unfortunately, Mr Sunshine didn't put in an appearance today, but at least it was warm (car temp said it was 13C) and it didn't rain anymore. I had a lovely walk but it's made me very, very, sleepy so after I'd been washed (with cold water), I went straight into my bed for a snooze. I'll probably get up for my dinner and then go back to bed again. Lol!

Happy Thursday Evening Blippers. x
