From the loft bedroom.
Mixed weather day.
13C this morning when we took a trip to a nearby Garden Centre to spend my birthday gift voucher from two lovely friends.
It was drizzly.
After lunch it kind of settled down and I went into the garden to begin pruning the roses before my hip operation. It was incredibly mild.Stephen tidied up some of last year’s ferns which need cutting back.
Then he spread some compost around each rose bush I had managed to prune.
Three more to finish, so I’m making progress.
I used the hoe on the bed nearest the house.
It all looks a lot tidier now.
By mid afternoon we felt spits and spots of rain so packed away all our tools, just in time, as it happens, as there was a really heavy downpour shortly afterwards,
The temperature must have also dropped suddenly as the back patio window steamed up on the outside!
As soon as it had ended the sun reappeared, lower in the sky late afternoon, which is when I went up into the loft bedroom to take the photo.
I liked the light and the blue sky.
Teatime now
Bacon sandwiches with brown sauce. Yum.
