Crochet then…
… I might have, inadvertently, taken credit for some beautiful crochet a couple of days ago? In fact the squares were created by one of our visitors at the weekend. She tried to teach me how to crochet and my creation was merely a thin and very wonky chain of only a few stitches.
Feeling much better (than yesterday) but still below par, a compulsion grew (I blame the Aries personality) that today there was nothing more imperative in my life than the need for a crochet hook of my own.
I dug out a stash of my Grandma’s old knitting needles and there, delightfully nestled amongst them (who knew?) was this treasure from the Woman’s Weekly (how long ago??*). Two crochet needles and a wool sewing needle (big eye) were inside. What joy!
The only wool I had was orange (don’t ask. But I swear I’m not knitting traffic warning signs).
So. With the help of a lovely social media teaching video, the above square is all my own work.
(Counting to eleven though? Clearly not my forté).
* Free gifts are definitely not what they used to be!
