Signs in the Sky
A very grey day, which seemed even darker after the recent sunny spell.
I went to my mother’s house for lunch and a chat with the carers, but also to help my mother vote and fill in her election papers, which I then delivered to the local town hall.
As I drove home, (listening to an interesting radio programme about the use of lies in authoritarian politics, as a means to test the loyalty of followers, and also to make others feel helpless) I spotted several big flocks of cranes.
By the time I had safely parked the car and got my mobile out, most had disappeared beyond the horizon. But these ones were still visible, and seeing them did cheer me up.
