Dancing tulip

Annette came to clean for me today. I was so pleased to welcome her back to The Beeches. She has "bottomed" the house in her own inimitable way!

I kept a bunch of dying tulips because she always jokes that I often have dying flowers in the house - for photographic reasons of course.

This image turned out to be a bit of a marathon. It is a 12 image focus stack. I made a background with a white sheet and a coloured one behind it. 

My plans were to photograph several tulips, but Photoshop did not manage to stack the images satisfactorily. I had to stack them one on top of another, which took ages. The image is not perfect, but as near as I could manage.

Perhaps in the future I will buy a camera that does the stacking itself!

Annette and I caught up on all the news today.
