A treat before home.
All good things must come to an end and the girls are now heading home.
When we had our pizza lunch yesterday the girls got a special kids deal which included dough balls and tomato and cucumber for a starter and ice cream to finish. It was a very good deal. Jude had ice cream with chocolate sauce, strawberries and an inverted cone to make it look like a unicorn. She was very excited. Eda just had vanilla which she was quite happy with as she’s not keen on the sauces but I know she would have liked a cone. Not gf obviously so she couldn't have one but I have my own supply of gf cones which we can take out with us when she’s here in case we want an ice cream.
So here they are having ice cream cones filled with Vienetta (always have that in as it’s Alex’s favourite)
You can tell by their faces how happy they are with them!
A chilled morning, they decided they didn’t want to go out but they did finish off hammer bead mats, draw and colour with stencils. Jude threaded buttons onto fancy thread and then they made dens with blankets and sofa cushions finishing with a TV picnic lunch watching Toy Story 4.
Much warmer today and even some bright sunshine but just as they were ready to go there was an absolute deluge of rain so they had to hang on for half an hour till it eased. Hope they don’t hit any showers like that on the motorway.
House tidy now but it is so quiet.
Eda’s godmother, Grace’s friend from Uni, is arriving for the weekend so the fun will continue when they arrive home. Meanwhile Granny has knitting to do!
