A day in the life

Pre-spring

Gorgeous day and a day with an obvious spring feel. We're still in February and winter isn't over yet but every year there always seems to be a first serious hint of change in the cycle of seasons. That was today. Birds singing, ice melting, blazing sun, temperatures well over zero, at least in daytime.

I had some errands in town, fetching my passport and buying a new pair of light walking shoes. My old ones are completely worn out and I saw a shop having one pair left of a similar type of shoe. I was lucky for once and immediately put them on to test them on a seven km easy trail of walking around a small headland in Kalmar.

In the evening I heard yet another concert at the castle in Kalmar, this time for acoustic, classical guitar and accordeon. Very advanced, but good music, which they performed beautifully, only the volume between the two instruments were a bit unbalanced. It's a difficult combination of instruments and puts high demands especially on the guitarists way of playing. He used a small amplifier but it wasn't quite enough for my liking. Very good to hear them though.
