Houghton lock

Backblip: there’s a footbridge over this lock which always fascinates but I bet it’s not great having to operate with a crowd of onlookers watching your every move. I like the solid, utilitarian look of the thing, plus it’s a remarkable piece of engineering. And as a floral bonus, in high summer the edges are covered in blooming wild flowers.
