Waggon Wednesday.
Another expensive day.
Sent Kev next door to muck out a shed while I emptied this lorry load of cow feed. We are old fashioned and use pallet loads of bags rather than bulk, but it suits our system .
While I was unloading , the fuel tanker arrived in as well. The driver was having a good moan as he had to drag his hose through the mud to get to the tanks as the feed lorry was in his way.
After lunch, put the wheel that had been repaired back onto the trolley for the combine header and then took the header off the combine. I will be needing the shed it was parked in when the fertiliser and seed barley are delivered next month, so took the combine along the road to its usual shed next door. As usual , as soon as I started to drive it it started to threaten to rain. No change from harvest time then !
Came in tonight and an email arrived with the invoice for today’s load of feed. They don’t waste much time!
And that’s the second 1/3 of last weeks load of heifers I sold gone !
The joys……
