Valentine’s Day is coming

Happy to work from home for part of the day.
My class started with 3 students double timetabled. Dealt with that. Then three new students, one of whom was semi-organised were next on the list to organise and move students to help them.. Started teaching late as a consequence. A late student, continued lecturing. Late student falls asleep. Gets woken by teacher. It’s nearly break time and a student rolls a cigarette and asks if that’s ok. I thought he meant to smoke indoors. He didn’t, he was trying to minimise time in the cold. Talk to a student in the break who had some problems after she disclosed a personal matter in class. She’s not comfortable; I’ll escalate. Break over, continue teaching, two of the new students are tired. They’re not used to 6 hour days - we only had two hours back home they said. Finally finished at 6 and went home. Not so exhausting today.
