Ice

We visited a bird locality close to the town. Maybe the first migratory birds would have arrived. But when we got up on the rocks on the way to the bird tower, we saw that the water was covered in ice. Only where the river (that runs through our town) begins, it was ice-free.
Extras: The glacial grooves, which are remnants from the Ice Age, were so visible when they were covered in snow.
Once at the bird tower it was quite quiet, it was basically just a few small birds singing and the ice as well.
But suddenly a large flock of mixed geese, 800, arrives and lands at the edge of the ice. What a wonderful sound backdrop we got for fika.
