Glimpses of my Hat
Australia is reputed to have the highest incidence of skin cancer in the world. These days, everyone is encouraged to wear a hat and slap on sun screen. Primary school children are not allowed in the playground without one. The Cancer Council markets a range of wonderful head coverings which benefit from being light, well ventilated, easy fitting and (I think) quite pleasing to the eye. I got this new one recently. The old one was about 10 years old, having been used most days. It looks a little rough around the edges but still does the job.
