Japanese wineberry
Wineberries one of my favourite soft fruits. They look a bit like a tiny raspberry (these are about the size of a small redcurrant) and are absolutely packed with flavour a bit like a rose wine. I picked up a cutting a few years ago at a fete, stuck it in the allotment and now I have a bush 9 foot wide. The berries are surrounded by a protective hairy calyx covered that exudes tiny drops of sticky fluid. Couldn't be easier to pick - the fruit sticks to your fingers and none of those confusing pruning rules to worry about. It just grows.
