Forget-me-not

We had a lot on today!

We were at a garden centre. We shouldn't have been, that's a Wednesday thing. We weren't even there for coffee. We'll be back for that tomorrow.

We were looking for various odds and ends that we need for the lodge, including a doormat and a hall runner. You would think that firms who made these things would make matching ones. They probably do but that doesn't mean the garden centre will stock both matching items all the time. So then we were off to Dunelm, who had what we needed, and did lunches.

Due to a misunderstanding, we ended up at another garden centre but that was ok as it had other shopping we needed and we still had one free coffee voucher to use up.

This evening a group of us from our estate invaded a Parish Council meeting to have our views heard on the effect a proposed housing development would have on the flooding we experience in our gardens and garages. Any more run-off water will be in our homes!

Thankfully, we felt the new Council now understood why developments had been opposed by previous Parish Councils.
