Ready for action
Surf Rescue and general tidying up vehicle at Broadsands. We went to a talk on Britains wild mammals tonight at the Devon Wildlife Trust , Bovey Tracey. Beavers, water voles, pine martens, wild boar, etc. Among the interesting facts we heard that Cinderford Town FC in Gloucestershire need a super strong wild boar proof fence so the football team can play its first home game in years. Cinderford Town Council has agreed to pay for a fence to keep out the boar which venture from neighbouring woodlands at night and have even be seen wandering through streets in the town.
The new fence will cost around £4,000 because it needs to be stronger than usual and buried into the ground so the boar cannot dig their way underneath.
Do they want to play football or do they just want to root about the lush pitch? A new angle for sky sports to investigate.
