Painless Extraction

At last, the basal cell carcinoma has been cut away painlessly by lovely doctor and nurse. Seven stitches and a bandage and I was away within two and a half hours. But I'd been waiting for the appointment since the end of last April, maybe not so quick, really.

To ease the 'pain' of this view, for an extra I give you a wren. This is a drive-by photo taken while we were stopped for traffic lights at a very busy junction, it was foraging in the leaf litter by and beneath the kerbstones, about five feet from the car (see map). What a wee beauty.
