Adorable Brown Blobs

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

The two pairs of California Quail that frequent our back garden have had CHICKS!

The adults are cute enough as it is, scratching around under our tree and settling themselves into the dirt like little chickens, but the chicks are SO sweet! They dart about, running hither and yon, chasing after mummy and daddy and bumbling about like balls of yarn with feet. 

I tried to get a picture from the couch because getting up would have scared them away.
