A moment in time

Winter Aconite

A perennial to 10cm in height, with cup-shaped bright yellow flowers 3cm in width from late winter, surrounded by divided leafy bracts.

Was at my group meeting this afternoon and afterwards had a wee walk to a garden where I know these are flowering.  I try to photograph them each year.  Still haven't managed to get some for our garden, but some day......

Bob had a committee meeting this morning here, five very keen walkers and it seems that the club is in a very healthy position, both financially and in every other way.  Always good to know.  We have a new Treasurer and she is quite amazed at the amount of money that goes through the books.  I am not a member of the organising committee, I just made them some coffee and left them to it.
