CAMERA - QUICK FLY AWAY
Despite it being so cold we decided to pop into town today, just to get some fresh air.
I needed to go to the surgery anyway so that I can register to now get my new prescription onlline. The Receptionist was so friendly and helpful so that didn't take long (took me much longer to work out how to do it at home but that's another story).
Then we stretched our legs along The Prom. It was bitterly cold, felt much colder than the 3 Degrees it said it was. We had a quick look at what they've done to the Lido - all work seems to have stopped for now. Disputes over the works I think, but I could be wrong about that.
As we were walking along The Prom I saw an egret quite close looking into one of the marsh ponds, of course I've not been carrying my camera around my neck lately (I only do it if I can have it in the car next to me) so I thought I'd give the phoone camera a try. Luckily it was already switched on. The egret stayed there right up until I raised the camera to take the shot then it flew off - flippin' typical. Still if you look closly you can just make him out flying off!!!
Then we popped into town for coffee when we discovered that Grange Bakery, all 4 of its sites, are closing down permanently in about 4 weeks time. Apparently they stopped making their own bread about 4 weeks ago and I used to like their rolls. That is going to leave a dent in Kents Bank Road, Cark, Ulverston and Barrow. Such a shame to see yet another business folding. It always seemed so busy and did well too.
Then on up to the post office along Kents Bank Road, past Grange Bakery, no sign to say they're closing but we are assured it is. Then up along The Esplanade and home again.
Well that's all from me for now, do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
