A Meandering Life...

MMC2025 :: Day 18 :: Northwards again.

Mono Month Challenge 2025

We woke to mist rolling over Kaikoura and into the sea. There was a light shower of rain as we had breakfast under the whale tail Blipped yesterday. On the way north we saw seals and plenty of sun. The coast road is a joy to drive.

My main Blip was taken up the coast at Half Moon Bay. My Postcard to you all has a mix of images from Kaikoura to Picton as described below.  Only late afternoon, as we had a 30 minute snooze did the heavens open. Within 40 minutes we were walking around the harbour in the sunshine again.

Postcard: Disappearing trees on the sea shore of Kaikoura. The seagulls standing guard on the picnic tables where I took my main Blip, also where you will find Nin's Bin a cafe that features in some NZ tour guides. The final image is of Picton's harbour and town as seen from our upper balcony, we have a ground floor one too. We are here for 5 nights in a top quality holiday home. One of the reasons we are staying for so long. We plan to go out on the mail boat and drive some of the very wiggly roads in the surround hills.
