Blonde baby….

A chilly day with it attempting to snow on and off all morning.
Once I’d been round and fed everything headed next door to help wee brother bring in a cow that had calved. When we got there another cow was busy sucking her stealing all her colostrum. That’s the problem with bucket reared calves as cows , quite a few of them continue to suck each other.
Gave the calf some artificial colostrum and by tonight it was in sucking its mother.
Kev on mucking out and bedding , me on feeding and bagging up bruised barley ready for tomorrow’s feed.
The tanker arrived in with kerosene this afternoon so hopefully the heating will work now and a divorce is less imminent !
