Up close

What a great weekend.

On Saturday, we went down to Hampstead to spend the day with Mr G's family to celebrate his mum's birthday. The other adults in the party went for a dip in the mixed pond on Hampstead Heath, while the little Gs and I amused ourselves by the water's edge, then we enjoyed a rather fine meal at a rather fine pub tucked away in the back streets. A lovely day.

On Sunday, one of Little G's pre-school friends and his parents came for lunch and a long afternoon play / chat (respectively). No pictures were taken, but much fun was had.

This is Littler G by the pool in Hampstead, and is by far my favourite picture of the weekend. Sometimes I am quite in awe of my children.
