New tarmac in the park

I use this path a lot, especially when walking to and from the gym. I keep forgetting that it's closed for repairs at the moment. I 'rediscovered' this when I headed to the doctor's surgery to pick up a prescription this morning. Here's hoping that the new version of the path will no longer transform into a wee loch each time that we have rain in the future.

My wee sortie also included a research visit to Mellis, a dash around two charity shops, fulfilling the prescription at Tesco, and completion of our Monday morning supermarket shop at LIDL. Mr hazelh couldn't come with me to the supermarket today because - once again - he was waiting in for a gas man.

The boiler had been seen to by the time I returned to the house. The gas man had replaced a dodgy switch. Could this be the end of our central heating woes at long last? I do hope so...

I spent the afternoon at my desk in the study. I worked on Mummy hazelh admin and article editing. Then I answered email.

This evening I cooked a fish stew for supper tonight and a parmigiana for Wednesday.

I now feel completely exhausted. I do hope that I am not about to be struck down by a lurgy. Three of the five blipping members of my book group have all been ill in the past couple of days. Could I have caught something over the ether?

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike: walking (9,573 steps).
