Not being used to being by the sea, we were amazed yesterday by how much the Winter storms had changed the beach.  There were great banks of shingle and lots more rock pools and even a new river across the beach.  While trying to find our way around, we got very wet feet.

Today we bought smart new wellington boots (Newquay is well equipped for anything you might want on the beach), and enjoyed our walk with dry feet.

Although it's not cold, there was a fierce wind.  The only shelter was near the harbour wall in Porth where, coincidentally, there is an ice cream shop.  I haven't posted a picture of us eating ice creams because I posted an almost identical shot (extra) last February.  I was even sitting in the same deckchair and wearing the same coat!
