MONO MONDAY : UGLY
“Very unattractive or unpleasant to look at;
offensive to the sense of beauty;
displeasing in appearance.”
It was a very cold night with a hard frost so when we arrived at the Eye Clinic 10 minutes before my appointment I was "shrammed" as we say in these ere parts, and needed to use the facilities before having my procedure done!
This rather unpleasant sight greeted me so, still having all my faculties, thought it would be “perfick” for the MM challenge! There is even some pareidolia, so a bonus! Mind you, if anyone needed to pull the Emergency Cord, the whole thing could end up on the floor, but fortunately, that didn’t happen to me.
A very pleasant doctor, who explained everything well. He had a good sense of humour and after struggling with the computer programme, and having to "copy and paste" information, we had a discussion about how life had changed over the years and that it had seemed much easier with a pen and paper! I even signed the Consent Form on an iPad, when the special pen worked!
We were back home by 9.15 so I've been resting and may even have slept for part of the morning. I am now hoping and praying the blurriness in my left eye will be a thing of the past!
I found this quote, and you know I love a good quote:
“Never ever give up hope...
as long as you have hope,
you will have life.
Be tolerant of each other
and remember
nobody is better
or worse than you,
we are only different.
Appreciate that.”

P.S. Many thanks to all of you for your good wishes for today and for Mr. HCB's recovery too - he is doing well and we are both very grateful to be part of this wonderful Blip family!
