Too Fast

Plans for a 2 1/2 mile swim were scuppered by the fast river. Doesn't look it from this angle but it was high and fast. Which made swimming with the current a lot of fun, and swimming against it impossible! The kayakers were still out on the water, but were all attached to a rope held by a member of staff on the bank so they didn't get pulled downstream.
